One of the best things was (as it might be for you) to learn to follow. And it became so much joy for me just to follow, once to be NOT in charge, but to let go, to trust someone else... And yes, as you will be constantly concentrated on the signals coming from your partner, you are automatically only in the present moment. I felt very refreshed after my lessons, after having forgotten everything else for an hour. I loved it.
(I stopped dancing tango again because of some social problems in the local scene. I didn't have a constant partner and was dependent on other unbound dancers. That was quite disappointing as they were unbound because of lacking dancing skills. Despite strong efforts I didn't manage to get a reliable constant partner, but this may be totally different in your scene, so this just for your info.)Noranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-75452849979016380752012-04-19T15:32:50.822-04:002012-04-19T15:32:50.822-04:00Right- rose, preferably red. :-) lolRight- rose, preferably red. :-) lolOriahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13153842083329682011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-8972852790590874802012-04-19T15:32:29.651-04:002012-04-19T15:32:29.651-04:00:-):-)Oriahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13153842083329682011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-42352618613385440672012-04-19T14:51:20.086-04:002012-04-19T14:51:20.086-04:00Sounds like a great way to step out of your comfor...Sounds like a great way to step out of your comfort zone. I'd probably have a lot of second thoughts about doing this also..even though the tango is quite appealing to me. Have fun and don't forget to put the rose between your teeth.Brenda Marroyhttp://brendamarroyauthor.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-64575647541320147582012-04-19T14:34:09.351-04:002012-04-19T14:34:09.351-04:00Remember to breathe!Remember to breathe!widdershinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04205462833259334647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-83687750172595448602012-04-19T10:24:16.330-04:002012-04-19T10:24:16.330-04:00Good for you Oriah! That is always worth pursuing, in whatever form. I recently read in a blog that the most important characteristic of a writer is courage. And you are demonstrating that :)LeaveAMarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13319800471091799769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-900209636065005562012-04-18T23:07:33.931-04:002012-04-18T23:07:33.931-04:00That sounds fabulous Oriah. Once you return home just know that there's a large tango community in TO and even larger in Montreal. Upcoming workshops in both cities in the next few months and I look forward to meeting you at one of them - or in Buenos Aires - as you will undoubtedly become addicted to this dance.Marayahttp://speakingtango.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-70556136527450486752012-04-18T19:09:48.116-04:002012-04-18T19:09:48.116-04:00This sounds awesomeThis sounds awesomeBaking Beads in the Keyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16309751830008221469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-18507919882965443302012-04-18T13:40:25.806-04:002012-04-18T13:40:25.806-04:00Thanks- enjoyed that very much- am familiar with t...Thanks- enjoyed that very much- am familiar with the affliction :-)Oriahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13153842083329682011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524364334037666877.post-80549228169294837812012-04-18T13:32:40.910-04:002012-04-18T13:32:40.910-04:00Hi, re my Buddhism comment on your last posting I ...Hi, re my Buddhism comment on your last posting I think you might like this
http://stiffmouse.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/false-buddha-syndrome.htmlStiffmousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15638422305627174368noreply@blogger.com
